Your site looks great. But it doesn't sell.
Most companies spend thousands of kroner on a fancy website — and then wonder why the phone isn't ringing. The truth? Design without strategy is just decoration.
1. You talk about yourself, not about the customer
The most common trap. "We are an innovative company with 20 years of experience..." — nobody cares. The visitor wants to knowwhat you can do for them.
Fixed:Replace each "we" against "you". Instead of "We deliver web solutions" → "You get a site that converts visitors to customers".
2. No clear call-to-action
If the visitor has tothinkon what the next step is, you've already lost them.
Fixed:Each page should have ONE clear action. The button should be large, visible and action-oriented.
3. The loading time is killing you
Every second extra loading time = 7% lower conversion. Google penalizes slow sites in the search results.
Fixed:Optimize images, use modern hosting, and skip unnecessary plugins.
4. Not mobile friendly (really)
Being "responsive" is not enough. 73% of all web traffic is mobile. Your site must bedesigned for mobile first.
5. You measure nothing
If you don't know where visitors drop off, you're fishing in the dark.
Fixed:Google Analytics + heatmaps. Free tool that shows exactly where the problem is.
Summary
A website that converts isn't about being the prettiest — it's about beingmost clearly. Focus on the customer's needs, make it easy to take the next step, and measure everything.
