About Zébulon

“Some would call me mad”

I've spent most of my working life in the borderland between development, creativity, strategy, wild ideas and business. I'm driven by the challenges you meet between thoughts of impossibility and belief in the future. In my world, absolutely nothing is impossible. It's obvious that anything is possible — as long as you want it, believe in what you do, and above all love it.

Like many others, I've walked through the deepest valleys and the brightest peaks. The experiences I've packed into my brain are the foundation for what I do today — and why I do it. I work with technology, web development and business development because I've lived with it for as long as I can remember — and clearly I still can't get enough. Above all, it's the ideas that never quiet down. I think I would have gone mad if I hadn't had an outlet for them. In my work at ZORC I get to challenge myself every day and help others turn their ideas into reality. In the extremely fast digital development we live in now, doors open that only a year ago would have been dismissed as nonsense. That's what makes me burn more than ever for what I do.

What do your experiences mean for ZORC and your clients?

I believe my experience with journalistic work alongside entrepreneurship shapes how I think for a broad audience. I've also seen companies grow and ideas crash, lost and won, been loved and hated — but always gone my own way. That built the pessimist in me when realism is needed and the optimist when fire is needed, while I'm someone who never gives up. In my work it's about embracing digital development at a level that's still unusual in Sweden today. We do nothing half-hearted — we go all in, we bet big, and we remake until we find what's right for and with our clients.

Your best tips for learning something new?

You have to become more or less obsessed with what you want to do but can't quite do yet! You also need to dare to step away from the Law of Jante and start clicking. By that I mean many people today want to be able to code and understand advanced tech, but are still afraid to click a button. You have to start clicking and see what happens to learn. I promise the computer won't explode!

Who are you on the team?

I'm the builder and innovator one day, the idea generator the next, and on the third day I'm a hacker or project lead. Jokes aside — my skills stretch further than a keyboard and a mouse. That's why I try to see myself as a helping tool for our clients more than a static role. It's most fun when we grow together and can combine several skills and aces up our sleeve.

What's your favourite thing to do at work?

Getting ready really early in the morning with coffee and code in my office, in silence. I always get my best ideas in the morning, and I never miss the creativity of those mornings. Feeling the rush of possibility before everyone else has started gives me the strength and courage to go all in for another day.
